Monochrome photography

During the trip we took a limited number of monochrome images. These were produced inside of the camera as we were capturing them – not in post-processing.

It is interesting as monochrome/black & white photography causes you to focus on a different thing: more about light, contrast and tone gradients.

It is a little like manual transmission in cars: it makes you more aware of slopes and elevation changes.
