Day 12: Sandane (Norway) → Hemsedal (Norway)

Today we firmly start our return trip to Dublin. It will be south and westerly directions from now on. We head out again to our fully charged car.

And tunnels.

Stopping off at a very large IONITY charging station. The first we've seen with a large petrol station like sign.

We don't need a charge but realise that our Plug & Charge settings were wiped when we did the PCM factory reset last week in an attempt to fix the Porsche Remote Services issue.

You need to plug into an IONITY station and use your physical Porsche Charging Service card on the pedestal to re-install the Plug & Charge certificate into your car. So we decided to do that here in preparation for the long trip home.

Very large IONITY park

The largest bank of DC charging infrastructure we've seen at an IONITY station. ABB did well out of this location!

Arriving at our overnight hotel – a mountain lodge in the off-season – for a free destination charge at 22 kW.

Parked up for a destination charge

Unpacking our luggage in an empty parking garage.

Unloading in a quiet car park

And heading up to the lodge.

We love hippos and this was a picture on the wall that caught our eye. We're not sure how "real" this is – we did not think you could get a hippo to co-operate like this.
